The Zermatt Unplugged 2025 once again proved to be a true highlight for music lovers and connoisseurs alike. From April 8th to 13th, the terrace of the Resort Hotel Alex Zermatt was transformed into a stage:
With atmospheric lunchtime concerts by Melina Nora, Akryl, JERUB, Ansa Sauermann, and Fish on the Mountain, as well as evening sessions in the Alex Lounge Bar featuring Ina Forsman (April 8 & 9) and Lucky Wüthrich (April 10–12), musical variety at the highest level was guaranteed.
During this special week, we were also delighted to welcome back a loyal friend of our house: Claude Rodet, a long-standing guest and true bon vivant with a fine sense of humour and a heart for genuine hospitality. After his departure, he sent us a personal message that truly touched us — full of charm, wit, and heartfelt appreciation. We would like to share a few of his affectionate words here:
„Un grand merci pour la belle neige toute cette saison, et le magnifique temps pour le unplugged, fabuleux !!“
Claude described his stay with warmth, humour, and great charm. He was especially delighted by our cuisine — “excellent, but too good!” — and jokingly asked for smaller portions. Our wine list also left a lasting impression, especially the “Alex Cuvée du Patron” and SETTE Merlot, which he enjoyed so much that he jokingly suggested we should increase the prices tenfold — so that he would drink less and simultaneously support the French healthcare system.
His message became a loving tribute to our entire team: To Sonia, for her kind emails and warm smile; to Christine, always helpful and cheerful; to René, our charismatic host and “Raclette King”; to Markus, without whom the TV would not work — and of course to “tous, tous!!“.

Such feedback means more to us than just a compliment — it is both motivation and affirmation. Dear Claude, we say merci for your words, your loyalty, and your zest for life. Guests like you make our house what it is. And this very feeling — to be welcome, to feel at home, and to share special moments together — is exactly what we want to offer to all our guests who find their way to us.
